Spicy Spinach Vada

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

1 cup Ural Dal  ( split black gram )

1 piece Ginger

Spinach ( 1 cup)

1 small onion

1 small green chilly

Preparation:

Soak 1 cup black gram overnight in water. 

Blend all the ingredients except onion. Make a coarse batter. Add salt and chopped onions. 

Make small 1/4” pancakes and fry them in hot oil until they turn brown on both sides.

Tip: add 1 tb spoon corn flour if you want them to be extra crispy.

Tastes good with Tomato chutney.
